Withdrawing

If you so choose, you may withdraw your appeal at any time before the CSAC issues its decision i.e. either after it is lodged and before the Hearing; or after the Hearing and before the CSAC decision is issued.

You do not need to withdraw an appeal merely because you are leaving the Cayman Islands. If necessary, arrangements can be made for a telephone Hearing to be held.

To withdraw your appeal you should advise the CSAC Secretariat in writing.

Reasons for Withdrawing an appeal

You may want to consider withdrawing an appeal if you decide that, on reflection, the appointing officer’s decision did comply with the requirements of the Law and Regulations; or if you believe that the circumstances surrounding the issues you are appealing have changed.

You should consider seeking the advice of another person, such as a friend, a CICSA representative or a lawyer before deciding to withdraw your appeal.

The decision to withdraw your appeal is yours and should not be based on any promises or threats made by any person.
